In the spirit of volunteerism and selfless service, the Assumption Iloilo Community successfully hosted the Community Clinic 2023 on November 19, 2023. This annual activity, a testament to Assumption Education’s commitment to social responsibility, aimed to provide medical, dental, and legal assistance to the partner schools and communities, teachers, and staff of Assumption Iloilo.

The Community Clinic 2023 was a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Marie Eugenie Community Center (MECC) in partnership with the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) and the entire Assumption Iloilo community.

The primary goal of the community clinic is to provide free essential medical, dental, and legal services to the beneficiaries, which included partner schools such as Balantang Elementary School, Guintas Elementary School, Sapao Elementary School, RG Hechanova Memorial National High School, and Assumption Socio-Educational Center. Additionally, the clinic extended its services to partner communities, including Brgy. Hinactacan, La Paz & Bo. Obrero Zone 3 foster parents, as well as Assumption employees and their families.

Beyond the immediate medical assistance, the Community Clinic 2023 was an avenue for everyone to deepen their values of generosity, sharing, hard work, self-sacrifice, a sense of volunteerism, joy, and compassion within the community. It has created a culture of care, empathy, and understanding.  The event brought today’s Gospel alive where each one simply used and shared their talents, skills, expertise—gift of their being in serving and loving others.

Inspite of the Sunday schedule, a family day, our dedicated doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, lawyers, and volunteers generously gave their time and expertise for the success of the Community Clinic 2023. Your selfless commitment to providing medical, dental, and legal assistance to our partner schools, communities, The compassion, care, and professionalism you exhibited throughout the day were the driving force behind the clinic’s success. Assumption Iloilo extends its deepest gratitude to each one of you for turning a regular Sunday into a day of healing, compassion, and shared humanity. You are the unsung heroes who make our community stronger, and your contributions will be remembered long after the echoes of the Community Clinic 2023 fade away.

The Force Behind the Clinic
The success of the Community Clinic 2023 was made possible by the collective efforts of various groups within the Assumption Iloilo community. The PTA Officers and Assumption Parents played a crucial role, providing support and resources to ensure the smooth execution of the event. The Assumption Iloilo faculty and staff, maintenance personnel, security guards, ROMAC, student volunteers, Rotary Interact club, AMA Club, LCT & LCB-A, Assumption Sisters, and Administrative Team all contributed their time and skills to make the clinic a reality.
